Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza visited Azerbaijan, where he held key meetings with President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the Defense Minister, Foreign Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chief of General Staff.
During these discussions, the leaders addressed issues of mutual interest, focusing on enhancing regional security and military cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). General Sahir emphasized the importance of increasing military collaboration to strengthen ties between the two nations.
The discussions also reaffirmed the joint commitment of both countries towards peace and stability in the region.
President Aliyev acknowledged the sacrifices and professionalism demonstrated by the Pakistani army, underscoring the respect and appreciation for Pakistan’s contributions to regional security.
