The Israel Police's cyber unit in Lahav 443 froze cryptocurrency accounts used on social media by the Gaza-based Hamas group for fundraising.
According to Israel media news, the cyber branch of Israel Police's Lahav 433 unit has taken action to freeze cryptocurrency accounts associated with Hamas.
The police spokesperson's unit disclosed that Hamas had been actively utilizing these cryptocurrency accounts for fundraising through social media channels since this past Saturday.
Lahav 433, in collaboration with the Israeli Defense Ministry, Shin Bet (Israel's internal security service), and various intelligence agencies, claimed to disrupt the cryptocurrency channels employed for financial activities.
