Security forces eliminated seven terrorists and injured two others in four separate operations conducted in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Three intelligence-based operations were carried out in Balochistan's Awaran, Dera Bugti, and Kech districts in which four terrorists were killed. In Awaran, two most-wanted terrorists, identified as Niaz alias Ghuman and Zareef alias Shah Jahan, were killed following intense clashes. In Dera Bugti, one terrorist was neutralized, while another was eliminated in Kech.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bannu, killing three terrorists and injuring two others. The eliminated terrorists were reportedly involved in attacks against security forces and the target killings of civilians. Arms, ammunition, and explosives were recovered during the operation.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the bravery and dedication of the security forces and paid tribute to them. President Zardari reiterated the resolve to continue operations until the complete eradication of terrorism and appreciated the bravery of the security personnel.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed this resolve, stating that the war on terrorism will continue until all threats are neutralized. He vowed to thwart the nefarious designs of those who threaten peace and humanity in the country.
