Global music icon Taylor Swift has achieved yet another milestone securing her place as Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the year while also dominating the literary world with her latest release, The Eras Tour Book.
According to the Associated Press, Swift’s The Eras Tour Book has broken records, selling an impressive 814,000 copies in its first two days of release.
This marks the second-highest sales week ever recorded by Circana’s BookScan since its tracking began in 2001. The book trails closely behind the 2020 release of former U.S. President Barack Obama’s memoir, A Promised Land, which sold 816,000 copies in the same timeframe.
The achievement comes alongside Swift's remarkable feat of being named Spotify’s most-streamed artist globally for the second consecutive year. The streaming giant confirmed that her album has garnered over 26.6 billion streams in 2024, setting another benchmark in the music industry.
This is not the first time Swift has ventured beyond traditional music releases. In 2023, she collaborated with AMC for the theatrical release of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which grossed over $200 million, becoming the highest-grossing concert film in music history.
Adding to her record-breaking streak, Swift recently launched the vinyl and CD editions of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.
Released on Black Friday and sold exclusively through Target, the collection saw remarkable first-week sales, further cementing her status as a multifaceted artist.
Swift's continued dominance in music and publishing underscores her unparalleled influence in the entertainment world. Fans and industry experts alike await her next move as she continues to redefine success across various platforms.
