At least 18 people were killed while 30 were injured as a blast ripped through a mosque in northern Afghanistan on Friday.
Taliban official Mawlawi Hashimi told Reuters that the blast happened at a Shia mosque in Baghlan province.
Hashimi said the authorities are taking the injured and dead to hospital and are investigating the cause of the blast.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Afghanistan's Taliban-run administration has faced an insurgency by Islamic State militants, who have claimed a series of deadly attacks on civilians, foreigners, and Taliban security forces in recent months.
