The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted multiple operations against drug smuggling in Punjab, arresting five suspects and seizing narcotics worth over Rs 5.4 million.
According to an ANF spokesperson, officials recovered 250 grams of hashish near a university in Rawalpindi. The suspect confessed to selling drugs to students in educational institutions.
In another operation, ANF officials seized 44.4 kilograms of hashish and 2.4 kilograms of opium from a vehicle near New Muhammadabad, Gujranwala, arresting two suspects.
Further action near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, Attock, resulted in the recovery of 1.2 kilograms of hashish from a suspect. Officials also seized 1 kilogram of heroin from a woman near GT Road, Attock.
The ANF registered cases against all suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act and launched investigations.
