US moves second aircraft carrier to Mediterranean
US aircraft carrier USS Dwight D Eisenhower and the strike group deployed to the region joined the USS Gerald R Ford carrier which had already arrived in the Mediterranean is a show of support for Israel.
Sending the USS carrier Dwight Eisenhower and its strike group to join the USS Gerald R Ford carrier in the region demonstrates Washington’s “resolve to deter any state or non-state actor seeking to escalate this war”, Lloyd said in a statement.
The two aircraft carriers will join a growing US force, including three US Air Force squadrons already deployed, as part of efforts “to deter hostile actions against Israel”, the statement added.
Turkiye rejects, condemns Israel onslaught on civilians
Türkiye has rejected and condemned attacks targeting “innocent civilians” and causing their death in Palestine said the country’s foreign minister on Saturday.
“I would like to emphasize once again that we invite Israel to adhere to international law and human values,” Hakan Fidan said in a joint news conference with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in Cairo.
Israel, he said, “should have peace not only with Arab countries but mainly with Palestinians.”
Fidan reiterated Türkiye’s two-state solution for the conflict, saying that the Palestinian issue could be resolved with the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Mexico, Ukraine appeal for humanitarian corridor
Mexico’s Foreign Minister Alicia Barcena said: “We are trying to get her out via Egypt, but Israel is not authorising a humanitarian corridor, nor is it allowing anybody to get out.”
“Even war has rules,” she said in the appeal for a safe evacuation corridor.
In Ukraine, the country’s Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets said Kyiv sent a note of protest with Israel after Ukrainian citizens were not allowed to evacuate from Gaza on Saturday.
“We do not understand why Ukrainian citizens are not allowed to evacuate, as well as other citizens of foreign countries,” Lubinets said. “Especially – as everyone emphasises – women and children were the first to ask for evacuation.”

IDF denies striking Gaza evacuation convoys on purpose
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have denied deliberately killing civilians trying to flee north Gaza in airstrikes.
The spokesperson said any information coming from the Hamas-controlled Palestinian enclave should be treated with extreme caution and suspicion and alleged that fabricated information might use for Hamas propaganda purposes.
The IDF spokesperson did not completely ruling out the possibility of a freak accident.
IDF spokesperson Lt. Colonel Jonathan Conricus said: “There was no targeting of vehicles, there was no targeting of civilians.”
“I’m not a forensic expert, I won’t be able to say if this is a roadside IED or if this is a strike from above. But what I am able to say with confidence, because we have asked, is that the IDF did not purposely strike in that area,” Conricus said.

Chinese envoy to visit Middle East next week
China’s envoy to the Middle East is preparing to visit the region next week to push for a truce in the Israel-Hamas conflict, according to state media.
Zhai Jun will “coordinate with various parties for a ceasefire, to protect civilians, ease the situation, and promote peace talks,” the CCTV broadcaster said in a video posted to its official social media account.
Iran warns Israel to 'stop before it is too late'
Iran has called for Israel to immediately cease its attacks on Gaza while warning Israel that the ongoing conflict could escalate to other parts of the Middle East if Lebanon-based group Hezbollah gets involved.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, speaking in Beirut, stated that Hezbollah has prepared for various war scenarios and called on Israel to halt its Gaza attacks immediately.
He further cautioned that if the conflict spreads to the Middle East, Israel may face "a huge earthquake."
Amir-Abdollahian revealed that he had met with Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and gained insights into the group's strategies.
He warned against further civilian casualties in Gaza and urged action to stop the violence.
The Iranian foreign minister issued a warning to "war criminals" and those supporting Israel and warned Israel to halt their actions before it becomes too late.
