Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the abolition of the son quota in civil service recruitment, following a Supreme Court ruling.
The decision comes after amendments to the Civil Service Rules 1989, officially approved by the Chief Minister of KP through his executive powers.
According to a notification issued by the Department of Administration, the conditions for initial appointments have been revised, and the clause regarding the employment of deceased government employees' children has been removed.
The notification states that these changes are effective immediately, with copies sent to all relevant institutions and officials for implementation.
