A professor from Karachi has successfully developed an environment-friendly cement that will significantly reduce carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional cement.
The innovation is not only sustainable but also cost-effective.
After eight years of research, Professor Tariq Jamil from NED University has introduced this revolutionary cement, which can cut carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40%.
"Compared to traditional cement, this new material is 25% cheaper and ten times more durable," said Dr. Tariq Jamil, a material scientist at NED University.
Buildings constructed with this eco-friendly cement will remain cooler in summer and warmer in winter, offering energy efficiency benefits.
Additionally, structures near coastal areas will have increased resistance against steel reinforcements rusting.
