The government appears to have made great progress in ensuring gas supply in winter.
The government has procured two additional LNG cargoes to meet the gas requirements. Gas supply will not be suspended to any sector in December.
The purchase of additional LNG will help meet domestic needs. The amount of gas available in December from the additional LNG will be 1,850MMFCD.
The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has submitted a proposed for the supply plan to the government. According to the plan, gas supply will not be shut down for any sector in December.
Gas will be supplied to domestic consumers for eight hours.
The entire demand of the industry and the power sector will be met, according to SNGPL officials.
