Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said on Sunday that the price of electricity would be reduced by up to Rs8 per unit in the coming days.
Addressing farmers in Jaranwala, Tarar said that agriculture should be included in the curriculum. He added that China had brought about a revolution through progressive farming, and the prime minister had requested special cooperation from China in this matter.
The law minister said that one thousand of their agricultural graduates were going to China for training to learn about modern agricultural technology.
Tarar said that for high production, good seeds were also important.
He stated that the prime minister was committed to seed development. "This commodity crisis is temporary and will be overcome soon," Tarar added.
He added that the difficulties arising from the end of the support price were temporary.
Tarar said: "The Punjab government had given a package of Rs15billion to farmers."
Providing cheap fertiliser to farmers was the top priority and that the government was working for the betterment of the landowners who cultivated wheat, he maintained.
