A new Pandora box has been opened within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the Swabi public gathering, as revelations surface about 90 per cent of the party officials spreading false information about the event.
According to details, a leaked audio from PTI's provincial official, Junaid Akbar, has unveiled new claims. In the recording, Akbar stated that he holds detailed reports, including specific information about individuals involved.
He claimed to know exactly who said what regarding the rally, naming MPs, MNAs, and other officials who misrepresented statistics.
Akbar expressed his frustration, stating that those who spread false information should be ashamed of themselves.
He also mentioned that he would forward the reports to the party founder, Imran Khan, and that he even knew what clothes some attendees were wearing at the event.
Akbar further revealed that some party officials had sent him videos from Islamabad and other programmes.
He expressed disdain for these actions, calling those involved naïve. Akbar firmly asserted that he would not support any wrongdoers and that he would not back anyone who spread lies, regardless of their status within the party.
He mentioned that holding a position within the PTI was neither a desire, necessity, nor obligation for him and stated he would be happy to have the responsibility taken away.
He also mentioned the unfortunate rise of internal factions within the party, with support given to the wrong people.
"My commitment is to not support any wrongdoer, no matter how big they may be. If I cannot stand by my principles, I will leave my position. One person cannot expel ten others and make decisions like that. Only those who work for the party will rise. I will support such people," he concluded.
PTI's internal conflict escalates as Junaid Akbar exposes misleading claims and pledges to support only those committed to the party's true cause.
