The security forces eliminated seven terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Dera Ismail Khan district, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The first operation took place in Daraban, where security forces launched an offensive after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists. During the engagement, four terrorists were neutralized as troops effectively targeted their location.
In a separate encounter in the Maddi area, security forces engaged another group of terrorists, resulting in the elimination of three more militants.
According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were involved in multiple attacks in the region.
Following the operations, sanitization efforts are underway to clear the area of any remaining threats. The military reiterated its commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan, emphasizing that security forces will continue their efforts until the region is completely secured.
