President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued on Saturday messages to the nation, extending their heartfelt greetings for the blessed month of Ramazan.
According to details, in his message, President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the Muslim world on the commencement of Ramazan, stating that the month teaches lessons of patience, resilience, empathy, equality and unity.
He urged people to help the poor and needy during this time, promoting the spirit of sacrifice and charity. Zardari also emphasised that Ramazan serves as a reminder to feel the suffering of the underprivileged and called for increased charity and support for the less fortunate.
He appealed to the nation to extend their generosity beyond their means, hoping that this month would bring peace, stability, and progress to Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz also shared his message, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to witness another Ramazan.
The prime minister thanked the Higher Power for granting the nation the blessed month of Ramadan once again.
He highlighted that Ramazan is a time for mercy, blessings, and forgiveness, where Allah grants His closeness.
He reiterated that the core message of Ramazan is patience, gratitude, empathy, and brotherhood, urging people to remember the suffering of the less fortunate, especially the oppressed people of Palestine and Kashmir.
The premier called for unity among the Muslim Ummah and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and speaking out against injustice.
PM Shehbaz had prayed for Pakistan's stability and urged citizens to increase their acts of worship and help those in need.
He expressed his hope that the blessings of Ramazan would bring stability to Pakistan and inspire the nation to serve the people and elevate the country's position globally.
He also appealed to the public to engage in more worship and provide aid to the poor and needy.
