An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar fighter plane crashed in the Ambala region of Haryana on Friday following a regular training flight from the Ambala airbase.
IAF officials verified that the pilot was able to safely eject before the aircraft went down.

The accident happened at approximately 3:45pm. No fatalities or injuries were reported as the pilot manoeuvred the aircraft away from any habitation.
"A Jaguar aircraft of the IAF crashed at Ambala, during a routine training sortie today, after encountering system malfunction. The pilot maneuvered the aircraft away from any habitation on the ground before ejecting safely," the IAF said in a statement on X.
A court of inquiry has been ordered by the authorities to look into what caused the crash.
