Bollywood actress Esha Deol, daughter of legendary actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, recently opened up about her journey in the film industry and addressed long-standing dating rumours with actor Ajay Devgn.
In a candid conversation, she also shared insights on co-parenting her daughters after parting ways with ex-husband Bharat Takhtani.
Esha Deol on dating Ajay Devgn
In a recent interview with The Quint, Esha Deol recalled how she was frequently linked with her co-stars early in her career.
Among them was Ajay Devgn, a leading Bollywood star in the 2000s, with whom she worked in multiple films, including Yuva, Main Aisa Hi Hoon, Kaal, Insan, and Cash. Dismissing the rumours, she said:
"I was linked to a lot of my co-stars back then. Some may be true, but many are not. They were even trying to link me up with Ajay Devgn."
Esha further explained that working on multiple projects with the same actor often leads to speculation. "There were a lot of stories cooked up. Maybe because we were doing a lot of films together at that time," she added.
Esha on co-parenting
Apart from her professional life, Esha’s personal life has also been under the spotlight, especially after her divorce from businessman Bharat Takhtani in 2024. The couple, who were married for 12 years, now co-parent their daughters, Radhya and Miraya.
Speaking about maintaining a healthy environment for their children, Esha emphasized the importance of setting aside differences. She said, "At the end of the day, we are parents to these beautiful kids. For your kids, you have to be a unit. Maybe the other unit has broken, but for your kids, it should remain intact. It is difficult for many, but if you keep trying, it helps."
Esha Deol’s career comeback
After making her Bollywood debut in 2002 with Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, Esha Deol had a mixed career with hits like Dhoom, Dus, Kaal, and No Entry. She took a break from acting after marriage and motherhood but made a comeback in 2022 with Rudra: The Edge of Darkness and in 2023 with Hunter: Tootega Nahi, Todega.
