As the hype for Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to grow, fans are desperate for any hint of a second trailer.
The latest rumour claims that Rockstar Games will drop the next trailer on April 1, 2025—April Fool’s Day—based on an in-game t-shirt in GTA Online. But is this a real clue or just wishful thinking?
The theory stems from a grey t-shirt in GTA Online called the “One Day Will Reveal All” shirt. Around its border, players have spotted a set of numbers, including 040125, which fans believe could point to an April 1, 2025, trailer release.
This wouldn’t be the first time fans have linked this shirt to GTA 6 news. Previously, the number 12523 was thought to hint at a December 5, 2023, release for the first trailer—and it was close, as Rockstar released it on December 4. This has fueled speculation that the shirt contains more hidden messages about future announcements.
Despite the shirt's previous accuracy, an April 1 release seems far-fetched. Rockstar Games typically builds anticipation before major releases rather than dropping surprises without notice. Moreover, April Fool’s Day is known for pranks, making it an unusual choice for a serious game reveal.
Additionally, Rockstar has remained completely silent since the first trailer, with no official confirmation of a second trailer's release date. Given GTA 6’s late 2025 launch window, a second trailer is expected in the coming months, but April 1 is likely just another fan-driven theory rather than an actual hint from Rockstar.
If Rockstar follows the marketing timeline of Red Dead Redemption 2, the second trailer could arrive around mid-to-late 2024. However, given GTA 6’s lack of updates since December 2023, a longer wait—or even a potential delay—can’t be ruled out.
For now, fans will have to wait for an official announcement. And while an April Fool’s Day drop would be hilarious, it seems unlikely that Rockstar would use such a prank-heavy date for its next major reveal.
