Karachi's worsening traffic congestion and rising accidents have sparked a debate over responsibility.
Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho has placed the blame on citizens, stating that no matter how much traffic police try, the problems will persist unless people follow traffic laws.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating a new dental OPD at Jinnah Medical University, Dr. Azra emphasized that accidents are inevitable if traffic regulations are ignored. She also pointed out that Karachi’s poor infrastructure has contributed to the increasing number of road mishaps.
“No matter how hard traffic officers try, citizens must also adhere to the rules,” she said.
