Pakistan cricket team opener Saim Ayub has completed his rehabilitation and returned to Lahore, where he is set to undergo a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy.
According to PCB sources, Ayub’s fitness assessment will determine his participation in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).
His medical reports from the UK have been described as “encouraging,” raising hopes for his return to competitive cricket.
The young left-handed batter had suffered an ankle fracture in January while fielding during a Test match. Following the injury, he was sent to London for specialized treatment on the instructions of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Ayub is expected to travel to Karachi to celebrate Eid with his family before resuming his training.
