Former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf said on Friday that it would be better for Babar Azam to bat at number four instead of opening the batting.
Expressing his thoughts on the Samaa TV programme Zor Ka Jor, Yousuf said: "This is not the time to support Babar, as this will not be good for himself [Babar Azam]."
"I gave an opinion of resting Babar Azam as a selector," said Yousuf.

Earlier on Thursday, Yousuf said on Thursday that performing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) should not be the selection criterion for the national cricket team.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV programme “Zor Ka Jor”, Yousuf said that he had no idea how Usman Khan was included in the national team. “However, Usman Khan had performed in the previous edition of the PSL,” he said.
He maintained: “Selecting players for the national team from the PSL is not the right criterion.”
“It is fair enough to send a player to the academy if he has any potential. First, work on him in the academy and then send him to play first-class cricket,” said Yousuf.
