The Balochistan government has warned that veteran politician and BNP-M chief Akhtar Mengal will be arrested if he proceeds with his planned march towards Quetta.
According to the provincial government spokesperson, the administration informed Akhtar Mengal at 6am about his detention under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) ordinance. Despite the formal notice, Mengal reportedly refused to comply and declined to surrender.
Journalist Shahid Rind confirmed that Akhtar Mengal did not agree to voluntary arrest following the government's directive.
The situation remains tense as authorities monitor developments closely.
