Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Quetta and its surrounding areas on Monday.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 12 kilometers.
The tremors, which lasted only a few seconds, were reported at around midday, with the epicenter located approximately 90 kilometers west of Quetta, near the border area.
While the quake caused momentary panic, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property.
Local authorities and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) have assured the public that the situation is under control. “There is no immediate threat, and our teams are on standby,” a PDMA spokesperson said.
