Multan Sultans were geared up to stage a comeback as the Mohammad Rizwan-led team will take on the defending champions Islamabad United in the seventh match of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
According to details, the Sultans lost their opening game against Karachi Kings on April 12 despite posting a staggering 235-run target against a David Warner-led team.
The Sultans’ captain Rizwan’s 63-ball 105 went in vain.
Kings batter James Vince played a scintillating knock, amassing a 43-ball 101 to ensure Kings’ emphatic victory over the Sultans.
In the last five encounters, United have dominated the Sultans by 3–2, including the final of the last edition back in 2024.
