Pakistan has suspended the use of Indian airspace for its flights, following restrictions placed on Indian airlines.
The national carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has operated its first flight from Lahore to Malaysia via Chinese airspace instead of Indian territory.
Under normal circumstances, PIA flights to Malaysia would typically pass through Indian airspace.
Pakistan has blocked its airspace for Indian airline flights in response to ongoing tensions. As part of the move,
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has also stopped using Indian airspace for its own international routes. PIA flights, such as the Lahore to Malaysia route, are now operating via Chinese airspace instead of passing over India.
