Eminent public figures from Pakistan challenged India’s narrative surrounding the Pahalgam incident, expressing unwavering support for the nation’s armed forces and condemning what they referred to as a fabricated pretext for hostility.
According to sources, prominent voices in Pakistan raised concerns regarding the Pahalgam false flag operation, terming it a reckless move by India amidst escalating regional tensions.
Karachi-based actor Javed Sheikh criticised India’s swift accusation, stating, “It is beyond comprehension that Pakistan's name is included in the FIR registered within half an hour of the attack.”
He asserted that the Pakistan Army had been fully prepared to retaliate if India launched an attack, adding, “If India attacks, our army is fully prepared, we will give a strong response.” Sheikh also emphasised his unwavering loyalty in the event of war and declared, “If war breaks out, we will stand with our brave armed forces.”
Islamabad-based actress Laila Zuberi expressed her solidarity with the military, saying, “The entire nation stands by its armed forces.” She added with conviction, “We will answer India with a stone for a brick.”
Pakistan former national cricket team captain Moin Khan cautioned India against misjudgement, stating, “Pakistan's armed forces are in a perfect position to respond to any attack, India should not be foolish.”
Lahore-based actor Adnan Samad Khan highlighted the unity of the country in the face of any threat to sovereignty, affirming that if Pakistan’s integrity were ever endangered, the nation, government, and armed forces would remain aligned.
Renowned singer from Islamabad, Faakhir Mehmood, described the Pakistani people as sovereign and resolute, asserting, “The Pakistani nation is sovereign and we will not compromise on our security.” He ended his statement with a patriotic declaration, “Long live Pakistan.”
