A Saudi delegation reached Pakistan on Sunday to review the Hajj arrangements in line with the "Road to Makkah" project.
According to details, around 50,500 Pakistani pilgrims will visit Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year. The "Road to Makkah" delegation was welcomed by officials of the religious ministry at Islamabad International Airport.
28,000 pilgrims from Islamabad and 22,000 from Karachi will be facilitated under the "Road to Makkah" project. Counters will be established for Hajj pilgrims at both Islamabad and Karachi airports, said the religious ministry spokesperson.
100 flights from Islamabad and 80 from Karachi will be operated under the "Road to Makkah" project.
The immigration procedure for the pilgrims will be completed in Pakistan before their departure, instead of Saudi Arabia.
