After the crushing defeat by the Pakistan Army in the 1965 war, India changed its strategy and adopted a ‘political-military strategy’ to divide Pakistan and New Delhi incited young Bengalis against West Pakistan.
Terrorist organizations like the Mukti Bahini were established, which had the full patronage of the Indian secret agency ‘RAW’.
On September 21, 1968, RAW was established and headed was Rameshwarnath Kao, who provoked the so-called war of independence in East Pakistan and fully supported it.
Major General Jacob of the Indian Eastern Command, who was a Jew, oversaw guerrilla operations from training Mukti Bahini terrorists to martyring patriotic Pakistanis in the streets of Dhaka, Chattogram, and other cities of East Pakistan.
The terrorists of Mukti Bahini martyred lakhs of patriotic Pakistanis, including a large number of Bengalis, following a plan organized by RAW to break the alliance between the Pakistan Army and the patriotic Bengalis and to weaken the Pakistan Army.
Mukti Bahini’s repressive actions are blamed on the Pakistan Army in the form of human rights violations.
As per historical facts, a large number of Mukti Bahini were Hindu Bengalis who martyred countless Muslims in East Pakistan while promoting the anti-Muslim ideology of India.
Mukti Bahini's brutality was exposed by a signal corps lieutenant stationed in East Pakistan named Afzal—who was martyred while repairing a communication line and his body was dismembered and thrown into the Teesta River.
Mukti Bahini guerrilla operations
Behind the formation of Mukti Bahini and the guerrilla operations in the 1971 war, the historical fact of the Indian government providing full military and intelligence support to the Mukti Bahini terrorists is not hidden from anyone.
For this purpose, the Eastern Command of the Indian Army was established in Kolkata under the supervision of Rameswarnath Kao.
Tale of six Camps
Six different training centers were established for the training of Mukti Bahini terrorists and each training center was under the command of an Indian Brigadier.
Murthy Camp was established in West Bengal region of India under the supervision of Brigadier Joshi. Raiganj camp was also based in West Bengal working under the supervision of Brigadier Prem Singh.
Cha Kolia training camp was established in the Indian state of Bihar under the supervision of Brigadier NA Naik.
Deb Tamur was based in Teraipura region of India and worked under the supervision of Brigadier Shah Baig Singh.
Massipur was based in the Indian state of Assam, working under the supervision of Brigadier Wadia.
‘Tora camp’ was established in the Indian region of Meghalaya under the supervision of Brigadier Sant Singh.
How terror outfit worked against Pakistan?
500 Mukti bahini terrorists were trained in each training center, among them, training was provided to about one lakh Mukti Bahini terrorists in all six camps.
Apart from this, 800 Mukti Bahini officers were regularly trained at Indian Military Academy Dehradun. Along with this, 600 Mukti Bahini terrorists were also given the task of attacking various ports of East Pakistan.
The serving officers of the Indian Army used to participate in operations with these Mukti Bahini terrorists in civilian clothes and gave them instructions, killing thunders of thousands of innocent men, women and children.
