In a recent session conducted by the Supreme Judicial Council, a crucial decision was made regarding complaints lodged against Supreme Court Justices Sardar Tariq Masood and Mazahir Naqvi.
Chaired by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, the session reviewed complaints against Justice Mazahir Naqvi, and a noteworthy development emerged when Justice Naqvi raised objections against three members of the council. Represented by lawyer Khawaja Haris, Justice Naqvi requested an adjournment of the proceedings.
However, due to time constraints, the complainants were not given an opportunity to present their grievances against Justice Naqvi during this meeting.
Notably, complainants Mian Dawood and representatives from the Pakistan Bar were present but were summoned for a subsequent session.

It is pertinent to mention that the Supreme Judicial Council had previously issued a show cause notice to Justice Mazahir Naqvi, requesting records pertaining to alleged misuse of assets and exceeding income sources. In response, Justice Naqvi had contested the legality of the current council.
In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Judicial Council dismissed the complaint filed against Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, concluding this aspect of the session.
