Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Ahmad Al Sabah underscored on Wednesday the historical brotherly ties between their respective countries.
During a meeting attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, the leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing these bonds by fostering a mutually beneficial economic partnership.
A statement from the PM Office’s Media Wing highlighted the leaders' contentment with the current state of relations and their shared aspiration to elevate it further. At the meeting, they witnessed the signing of seven agreements aimed at attracting substantial investments from Kuwait into various sectors of Pakistan.

These sectors include agriculture, hydel power, water supplies, mining activities, technology zone development, and mangrove preservation. Additionally, three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed in the fields of culture and art, environment, and sustainable development.
PM Kakar, recognising the significance of these agreements, hailed them as another achievement facilitated through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) platform. The leaders pledged to maintain close contact and promptly advance initiatives aimed at deepening and fortifying the Pakistan-Kuwait relationship. PM Kakar concluded by extending his prayers for the good health of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait.
