On Thursday, the current rate for US Dollar stands at Rs285, as the interbank exchange rate saw a modest 39 paisas drop today.
The Pakistani Rupee has extended its decline against the US Dollar, with a further decrease of 39 paisas recorded in the interbank market.
Currency dealers report that at the start of the business day, the US Dollar saw an additional 39 paisas drop, bringing its interbank value to Rs285.
Simultaneously, in the open market, the US Dollar became 50 paisas cheaper, settling at 286 Pakistani Rupees and 50 paisas.
On the third day of the business week, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP0 had reported a 13 paisas decrease in the interbank value of the US Dollar.
Following this adjustment, the interbank rate for the US Dollar stood at 285.39 Pakistani Rupees, while in the open market, it remained steady at Rs287.
During the previous business week, there was an overall decrease of more than one rupee in the value of the dollar, despite a minor 10 paisas increase on the final day in the currency market.
