Over 63,000 women applied for a learning permit within just 11 days in Lahore district but the journey to ply vehicles on Lahore road is not an easy ride anymore as only 20 percent of female drivers passed the final stage of the driving license test.
Mostly, all female drivers complete tasks from fingerprints to computerized sign tests but challenges arise during tasks such as reversing a car, and the passing rate for the driving test stood at 20 percent.
Rana Imran, the Sector in charge, highlighted the feedback from women seeking licenses, emphasizing the need for further improvements in the system.
Anam Ali, a female candidate, stressed that statistics indicate a low rate of rule violations among women drivers.
She pointed out that acquiring a license requires a combination of technique and confidence.
As the demand for licenses among women continues, there is a call for ongoing enhancements to the licensing process to better cater to the unique needs and challenges faced by female drivers.
