On Friday, the value of the US Dollar against the Pakistani Rupee (USD to PKR) has experienced a notable shift. The interbank exchange market witnessed a decrease of 17 paisas, bringing the USD to PKR rate down to 285.
According to currency dealers, the final day of the business week saw a reduction of 17 paisas in the interbank market, resulting in the USD to PKR rate settling at Rs285.
It's worth noting that the previous day concluded with the USD at Rs285.17 in the interbank market. In the open market, the US Dollar experienced a 50 paisas drop, reaching Rs286.50.
Despite a 10 paisas increase in the dollar's value during the last business week, an overall decrease of over one rupee has been recorded.
Over the past two weeks, continuous decreases have been observed, contributing to an overall increase of Rs3.77 in the USD to PKR rate for the month of November.
The State Bank reported that the interbank rate for the dollar on November 1 stood at Rs282.65, reaching Rs285.17 by November 30.
The fluctuations in USD to PKR rates continue to draw attention as Pakistan navigates through these changes in the currency market.
