The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have taken another responsibility along with curbing the crime in the capital. Now, students who run away from classes during school hours and go to entertainment places have also come under the target of Islamabad Police.
The Federal Police has started the "School Chalo Campaign" to bring vagrant students back to educational institutions.
Under the campaign, federal police officials will now keep a close watch on students who waste time in markets, parks, and other recreational areas during school hours.
The students will be 'picked' up by Dolphin Squad teams after leaving school or college.
SP Osif City/Traffic said that over 20 children who were absent from school and college and were sitting in entertainment places, markets and other suburbs were monitored by Safe City cameras and shifted to police stations and handed over to their parents.
The Islamabad traffic top cop said that students are the future of the country and ICT will do everything possible for their bright future.
