Sikhs for Justice leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said Sikhs have welcomed the decision of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) senior director to personally go to India for the investigation of the Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s assassination plot by the Indian government.
Over 1,000 trucks and cars rallied on San Francisco's Golden Bridge, adorned with Khalistan flags wherein the rally chanted slogans accusing the FBI and Modi of being behind the murder plot.
Khalistan leader said SFJ organized the event, and attendees prominently displayed wanted posters of Modi and Jaishankar Sindhu.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the Council General of SFJ, announced that the phase of the referendum for Khalistan in San Francisco is set to commence on January 28.
Pannu expressed the Sikh community's commitment to establishing an independent Khalistan through the referendum.
Addressing the crowd, Pannu asserted that Modi cannot always hide behind official immunity and vowed to arrest and prosecute him for alleged crimes against Sikhs, Muslims, and Christians.
He emphasized that the allegations against Nikhil Gupta and other Indian officials, implicated in the conspiracy to kill him, are effectively accusations against Modi himself.
Pannu directly accused Modi of being involved in the plot to kill him, citing revelations made by American intelligence agencies about India's plan.
He said recent indictment against Indian national Nikhil Gupta by US authorities on November 29 for conspiracy to kill Pannu is considered an indictment against Modi.
Highlighting Modi's alleged track record of violence against political opponents, Pannu underscored the seriousness of the situation.
The matter has gained international attention, with Canada accusing India of involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nagar, an associate of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, who lost his life in Canada.
