Congresswoman Lauren Boebert and her companion were asked to leave the Buell Theatre during a performance of the musical "Beetlejuice" in Denver, due to alleged disruptive behavior.
According to an incident reported by NBC News, the report does not explicitly mention Boebert or her companion by name but states that two patrons were removed from the theater for behavior during the show that included ‘vaping, singing, and causing a disturbance’.
These actions reportedly prompted complaints from three other attendees.
While the incident report maintains anonymity regarding Boebert and her companion, her campaign manager, Drew Sexton, confirmed the incident.
In a statement provided to NBC News, Sexton acknowledged the situation and humorously responded, "I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of Beetlejuice, which the Denver Post itself described as ‘zany,’ ‘outrageous,’ and a ‘lusty riot.’"
