The soil of Pakistan contains the blood of countless martyrs and security personnel. The martyrs have sacrificed themselves for the defence of the country without caring for their lives.
Among these heroes is also Rawalpindi-based soldier Hammad Ali.
Sepoy Hammad Ali has accomplished a feat at a tender age and during a very short period of service that has proved to be a living example of courage for the youth of Pakistan.
Sepoy Hammad, who joined the Frontier Force of Pakistan Army in 2021, sacrificed both his legs while fighting against terrorists in the Miranshah area of North Waziristan in July.
The passion of this young soldier to serve the country is still very much alive today. While speaking about the fateful day he lost his legs, the Rawalpindi district-based Hammad said that on July 12, they were assigned the mission of route clearance.
"I was responsible for providing protection along with the bomb disposal squad,” he recalled, adding that a landmine planted by terrorists exploded during the route clearance.
"Since I was very close to the point of explosion, I was also hit by the blast and lost both my legs.”
The sepoy further said that he was ready if the country ever needed his life in the future.
"The Pakistan Army and the people are united. No matter how hard the terrorists try, they will not be able to succeed in their evil intentions,” he stressed.
