Pakistan took the lead in helping the Palestinian brothers and sisters while the third batch of relief goods was dispatched from Noor Khan Air Base, Rawalpindi by a special flight of Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
The third aid shipment contained about 20 tonnes of essential items including surgical or medical supplies, dry food items, and gift bags for children as well as hygiene kits as per ground needs in Gaza.
The special flight will reach Al-Arish city of Egypt with relief supplies, where the Pakistani ambassador posted in Cairo will receive the relief supplies.
Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Ahmed Rabi, NDMA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and senior officers of the armed forces attended the departure ceremony at Noor Khan Air Base.
Jilani expressed his full support to the Palestinian people and condemned the disproportionate and indiscriminate use of force by Israel against civilians, especially women and children, in Gaza.
The caretaker foreign minister called for an immediate ceasefire and upholding the basic principles of justice and human rights, as well as ensuring the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the suffering population of Gaza.
He said: "More humanitarian aid is also being arranged for Gaza, which will be sent by the people of Pakistan very soon."
Earlier, NDMA had sent two relief consignments containing special winter tents, blankets, medicine and food packs to the distressed people of Gaza.
Pakistan stands with the Palestinian brothers and sisters in this hour of difficulty and will continue to support them.
