Haq said on Monday urged people to cast votes for his party in the forthcoming elections, slated to be held on February 8.
Addressing the public gathering in Lower Dir, Haq said: "Those who are creating uncertainty in connection with the elections are violating the Supreme Court of Pakistan's (SCP) order."
"The nation is having the golden opportunity to embrace the democratic process in the New Year," Haq said.
Haq took a swipe at the political opponents, saying, "The rulers who have been imposed on the country over the years have done nothing but leave the masses to face poverty, ballooning inflation, and unemployment."
He urged the need to steer the country's economy towards stability. "The JI will end the system of usury in the country and steer the country out of its economic woes by embracing Islamic principles," he added.

The JI chief stressed the need to uphold democracy to lead the country towards prosperity.
Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, Haq said: “The parties of the feudalists and investors are the obstacle to stabilising the process of democracy in the country. The parties who have already been tested have delivered nothing for the sake of the masses.”
“The masses are bearing the brunt of the ill-planned policies of the former rulers,” he added.
