Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul on Wednesday issued an apology over the tragic events that unfolded following the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9.
Talking to the media at Peshawar High Court following submitting a transit bail plea, Zartaj Gul expressed uncertainty about the upcoming election, stating, "I don't know whether I am contesting the election or a war."
She also stressed her extensive work in Dera Ghazi Khan, claiming that no one else had accomplished as much.
Concerns about her potential arrest were raised as she revealed the presence of the police force outside, prompting her to appeal for bail. "I can go to any court; the whole country is ours. I will not leave here until I get bail," she asserted.
Addressing voters, Zartaj Gul urged them not to panic, maintaining faith in the constitution and the law.
The leader issued an apology for the May 9 incidents, expressing regret for any disturbances caused.
In a parallel development, the Anti-Terrorism Court ordered the confiscation of properties belonging to 51 individuals, including prominent PTI figures like Murad Saeed, Hamad Azhar, and Umar Ayub, in connection with the Gujranwala Cantt attack and arson case on May 9.
The court declared these individuals as advertisers, escalating the legal complexities for PTI.
