Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Latif Khosa said on Saturday that the Senate resolution seeking the delay in the general elections was of ''no importance''.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Khosa said, ''Passing the resolution in the Senate is tantamount to a violation of the constitution. Despite having an incomplete quorum, the resolution had been passed.''
''The Supreme Court (SC) had delivered a verdict over the elections. Elections will have to be held at any cost on February 8,'' Khosa said.
''The nomination papers of the PTI leaders had been rejected. However, the Election Tribunal had accepted many of the rejected nomination papers,'' the former Punjab governor stated.
He demanded to suspend the Punjab IG and chief secretary.
Speaking about the possibility of the seat adjustment with any political party, he said, ''We are not going for the seat adjustment.''
He rued, ''The PTI founder had not given permission to talk with his sons for the last five months.''
Khosa asserted that there is no anarchy within the PTI.
