Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Saturday that everybody will have to implement the Supreme Court (SC) order over the ''bat'' symbol.
Addressing the press conference in Islamabad, Khan said: ''We will complete the consultations today in line with the distribution of the party tickets. We hope that the hearing of the case regarding the allotment of the bat symbol will not be delayed anymore.''
He urged the apex court to ensure the transparent polls in the country. ''I hope that the elections will definity be held on February 8. Even it has been emphasised the need to conduct elections within the specific term.''
''There is no importance of the resolution merely on the personal opinions of the 14 senators,'' Khan said.
– Barrister Gohar deems Senate resolution 'personal opnions of 14 lawmakers' –
Khan on Friday reacted to the Senate resolution, dubbing it the ''personal opinions of 14 lawmakers.''
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Khan reiterated the demand for holding the timely elections in the country on February 8.
''A resolution of 14 Senators based on their personal opinions, has no legal or binding force in the constitutional process of holding General Elections''.
He urged the Supreme Court to ensure the allotment of the PTI ''bat'' symbol and ensure a level playing field for the party in the forthcoming elections.
