A station house officer (SHO) is among the five police officials of the Islamabad police who have been suspended indefinitely in the case of the alleged raid on the house of PTI leader Gohar Ali Khan.
Following an initial inquiry into the police raid on the house of the lawyer, five policemen, including the Margalla SHO, have been suspended till further orders. The suspended officials include sub-inspectors Haider Ali and Mansab Dar, constables Sajjad, Tahir and lady official Shabana.
The superintendent of police (City) has been appointed the inquiry officer and a report has been sought in three days.
On Sunday, the Islamabad Police claimed through its official X account that a "fact-finding inquiry" had found that its team went to a house in Sector F-7/2 of the capital on Saturday in search of a proclaimed offender on a tip-off. After finding out that the house belonged to Barrister Gohar, the team immediately returned, the police claimed.

The chief justice of Pakistan had summoned the Islamabad capital city police officer (CCPO) and ordered an investigation into the matter. CCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan assured the PTI leader of investigating the matter and taking departmental action, if any police officer was found guilty.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan had on Saturday claimed that security forces raided his home in Islamabad, roughed up his son and nephew and took away documents and equipment.
Barrister Gohar made this claim in the Supreme Court during the hearing of the election commission’s appeal against the Peshawar High Court’s decision to let the PTI use its bat election symbol.
While Barrister Ali Zafar was extending his arguments, the PTI chairman told the chief justice that he had just found out that four vehicles had raided his home, his nephew beaten up and all the documents taken away.
