The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (ISCO) has announced a scheduled load shedding plan for Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
The temporary suspension of power supply is set to facilitate necessary repairs and routine development works in various areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum circles.
According to a statement from an ISCO spokesperson released on Tuesday, power interruptions are expected to occur from 9 am to 2 pm. Residents and businesses in the specified areas are advised to plan accordingly to minimize inconvenience.
The affected areas include several feeders supplying electricity to different localities in Islamabad, Rawalpindi City Circle, Attock Circle, Chakwal Circle, and Jhelum Circle. The list of areas encompasses a wide range, from residential neighborhoods to commercial hubs.
In Islamabad Circle, areas such as Banigala, Shakrallah, ADP, Khanna Dak, Burma, Scheme II, and others will experience the scheduled power outage. Similarly, Rawalpindi City Circle will be affected in locations like Ghousia Colony, 4th Road, A Block, National Market, Effendi Colony, and more.
In Attock Circle, feeders serving areas like Jalala, Nawababad, Sher Shah Suri, Bahlot, Valley, P.M. Colony, and others will also be subject to the temporary suspension of electricity. The Chakwal Circle will see interruptions in Baharpur, Ara Bazar, Manara, Sarpak, Jund Awan, Latifal, and other areas.
Jhelum Circle will experience load shedding in F-7 Kachhari, F-13 Garmala, Shukrila, Chapran, F-8 Civil Line, F-9, Chak Daulat, and various other localities.
Residents are urged to cooperate with the power utility during this scheduled maintenance period, as it is essential for the improvement and reliability of the electricity supply infrastructure in the region. ISCO assures that the interruptions are temporary and are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the overall power distribution system.
