A Nishan-e-Haider Football Championship and talent hunt organized by the Pakistan Army is underway in North Waziristan.
The 14-day tournament conducted by the Pakistan Army is being held in Miranshah of North Waziristan wherein 24 teams from the district, including Bannu and Lakki Marwat, are participating.
The matches are being held at the Younis Khan Stadium in Miranshah and will continue from January 10 to 24.

The teams kept the fans engaged with their excellent performances in thrilling matches. A large number of school children and local people attended the event and applauded the players for their excellent performance.
The competitions are being organized under a talent hunt program in the merged districts with the support of the Pakistan Army.

The aim of these efforts of the army is to bring about a positive change in the field of sports. These steps will surely prove to be important progress towards a healthy society, which will provide the youth with the best opportunities to move forward.
