Cricket legend and former Pakistan Captain Javed Miandad has voiced his concerns over the recent appointments in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
In a press conference held in Karachi, Miandad stressed that the current scenario in Pakistan cricket is unprecedented and does not align with the practices followed in other cricketing nations.
"It does not happen anywhere in cricket what is happening here in our Pakistan," Miandad remarked, highlighting the need for substantial efforts to be directed towards the betterment of cricket.

Miandad's remarks come in the wake of the nomination of Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi as the new chairman of the PCB, following the departure of Zaka Ashraf.
Expressing his views on the recent appointments, Miandad regretted that individuals in power tend to bring their own associates into key positions within the cricketing body.
"Whoever becomes the Prime Minister should work for the progress of the country and cricket," Miandad stated, urging for a more impartial and merit-based approach in making appointments within the PCB.
Responding to questions from reporters, Miandad asserted that given the opportunity, he would rectify the current state of affairs in the PCB. The former captain also expressed optimism about the Sindh Premier League (SPL), believing it could serve as a platform to nurture and showcase talent from the region. He emphasized that players from Sindh would greatly benefit from participating in the SPL.
