Federal Minister for Science and Technology Dr Umar Saif vowed on Saturday to uplift the freelancers in the country.
Addressing the ceremony in Lahore, Saif highlighted the simplification of the process for freelancers in Pakistan to receive funds from foreign countries. Thanks to advancements on international platforms, freelancers can now access funds instantly.
In addition to this, Saif disclosed plans for a startup loan programme, inspired by Punjab's E-Rozgaar initiative, aimed at fostering entrepreneurship in the technology sector.
Saif emphasised that comprehensive guidance will be provided to individuals venturing into new businesses within the technology field.
He underscored the collaboration with universities nationwide to establish innovation centers. These centers are anticipated to play a pivotal role in providing support and nurturing technological innovation.
Saif expressed a commitment to extend high-speed internet accessibility to additional cities and rural areas through collaboration with investors.
