Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen said on Wednesday he had no interest in holding any public office but wanted to serve the masses.
Expressing his thoughts in Lodhran, Jahangir Tareen said: "I had tried my level best to bring tabdeeli when I was in the previous party [Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf].
He bemoaned that the country could not even witness prosperity after 75 years.
"We will have to steer the country towards prosperity," Jahangir Tareen stated.
– Wants to foster country’s economy like US –
Jahangir Tareen said that he wants to uplift the country’s economy like the United States (US).
Addressing the workers’ convention in Multan, he reiterated his resolve to put the country’s economy on the right track by joining hands with three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif.
‘’Its time to return to the masses what the Higher Power had provided me. The projects that are yet to be initiated will be completed in the constituencies, and I will never leave Multan alone,’’ Jahangir Tareen said.
– Robust econony will lead country to prosperity –
Few days back, Jahangir Tareen said that a robust economy will lead the country to prosperity.
Addressing the workers’ convention in Multan, Tareen said, ‘’I will try my all-out efforts to strengthen the economy. I do not have to talk against anybody, but I have to underline things that are important for the sake of the country.’’
‘’I have always shown dedication. It is my responsibility to address the masses’ problems,'' Tareen said.
– Youth role vital in changing country's fate –
Jahangir Tareen said that the role of youth will be vital in changing the country’s fate.
Expressing his thoughts in Lodhran, Jahangir Tareen said, ‘’My sole purpose of staging politics is to serve the masses. There is a way to lead the country towards prosperity if the spirit of working is dedicatedly embraced.’’
‘’It is a matter of delight that the other parties are also commending our points in the manifesto. We have given an exceptional package to the farmers in our manifesto. No political party had ever thought about uplifting farmers and agriculture,’’ Jahangir Tareen said.
He urged people to vote for the IPP in the forthcoming elections, slated to happen on February 8.
