From January 21 to 28, a total of 50 individuals have been apprehended, and a staggering 1760.18 kilograms of illicit substances have been confiscated.

The nationwide sweep has seen significant results in various regions, with law enforcement agencies demonstrating their commitment to tackling the drug trade head-on.
Statistics revealed that during this recent operation, Balochistan witnessed the seizure of 165 kilograms of drugs, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) accounted for a substantial 1331.229 kilograms. Additionally, 125.79 kilograms were confiscated in Gilgit, 115.67 kilograms in Punjab, and 22.498 kilograms in Sindh.
Variety of seized substances
The seized contraband is diverse, including 9.5 kilograms of heroin extracted from Balochistan, KP, and Punjab. Hashish, a prevalent substance in the illicit trade, amounted to 596.435 kilograms seized from various parts of the country.
Methamphetamines, a growing concern, saw a seizure of 23.012 kilograms, while 65.8 kilograms of opium were confiscated from regions including KP, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Punjab.

The recent operations add to the cumulative impact of the crackdown against drug dealers since September 1, with an astounding 819898.273 kilograms of drugs seized and 732 criminals arrested nationwide.
