The quartet, known as Marvel's First Family, will take center stage in Phase 5 of the MCU, with the film set to be released on July 25, 2025.
According to IGN, the casting news was followed by a striking poster depicting the ensemble cast alongside the endearing robot H.E.R.B.I.E. and a touching image of Moss-Bachrach's Ben Grimm as a NASA astronaut before his metamorphosis into The Thing.
This information validates previous suspicions about the casting, including Pascal's alleged involvement in Fastastic Four during November 2023.
Forbes offers insights into the performers who are taking on these legendary roles. Pascal, known for his diverse roles in "The Last of Us," "The Mandalorian," and "Game of Thrones," shared his delight at playing Richards, sharing the news on Instagram with a touching message.
Kirby, acclaimed for her performances in "The Crown" and "Pieces of a Woman," eagerly anticipates embodying Sue Storm, a character she described as "amazing" in a previous interview with Variety.
Quinn, recognized for his role in "Stranger Things" and slated to appear in Ridley Scott's sequel "Gladiator," simply captioned his Instagram post with "Fantastic," signaling his enthusiasm for joining the MCU.
Moss-Bachrach, known for his roles in "The Punisher" and "Girls," shared his excitement on Instagram, extending Valentine's Day greetings to fans.
This reboot marks the third cinematic iteration of "The Fantastic Four," with Marvel aiming to revitalize the franchise under Phase 6, following Disney's acquisition of the rights from Fox in 2019.
While details about the film's plot remain under wraps, fans eagerly await further updates, including the casting of the central villain, Dr. Doom, whose role in the 2025 version remains uncertain.
Marvel's decision to cast the full foursome signals a strategic move to anchor the MCU with new iconic characters, following the departures of key figures like Steve Rogers and Tony Stark.
