Security forces successfully neutralised a notorious terrorist in in an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, the military’s media affairs wing said on Tuesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said: "The operation was initiated based on credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. Swift and precise, security forces engaged in a fierce exchange of fire with the terrorists during the operation, ultimately leading to the elimination of the notorious terrorist, Muhammad Sohail".
Muhammad Sohail, the deceased terrorist, had a notorious history of actively participating in numerous terrorist activities, including targeted killings of innocent civilians and confrontations with law enforcement agencies.
Following the successful operation, a thorough sanitisation process is underway to wipe out any other terrorist found in the area.
The local community in the region has shown appreciation for the security forces' efforts and has voiced their full support for the ongoing mission to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
